The Plane: Mig 25 "Foxbat"

The Mig 25 is an awesome plane up close regardless of the fact that it is over 45 years old. The size of the engines is enough to make you think of it as little more than two seats attached to two rockets.

We drove out to it on the flight line and parked 30 feet or so away. When I got out of the van and began to approach it, the fact that I would soon be sitting in the front seat going up 15 miles, literally to the edge of space, hitting Mach 2.4 in the process, started to become real. Up to that point it really wasn’t.

Hi, I have also been to that airbase in Russia to fly the MIG 29 with incredible Adventures but and would love to go back and fly the MiG 25 to the edge of space... Do you know a company that you can still fly in the MiG 25 as Incredible adventures have stopped using Zhukovsky airbase?
The MiG 31 sounds okay but its not as awesome looking as the MiG 25 plus the MiG 31 is more expensive.
Cheers Simon

I don't but seem to recall reading something on the IA website about the 25 still being available although at their new flight base. You might check that out.

Good Luck!
